Here are HDD's projections for the Top 10 on this week's charts:

HDD's Top 10 Sales Projections:

JACK’S BACK, AND SO’S BUSINESS: The ever-reliable Jack Johnson has awakened the record biz from its five-week-long doldrums, as his new Brushfire/Universal Republic album speeds toward a robust first-week total of 350-375k. That’s the good news; the bad news is that no other record will be in six figures, though the debuting Sheryl Crow (A&M/Interscope) will come close, with 85-90k, just ahead of J/RMG heavy hitter Alicia Keys, who’s trending toward 80-85k. A third debut, from Virgin/CMG’s Lenny Kravitz, is expected to total around 55-60k. The rest of next week’s Top 10 will look something like this: #5, 2008 Grammy Nominees (Hip-O/UMe), 45-50k; #6, Mary J. Blige (Geffen), 45-50k; and #7, Juno (Rhino) or Hannah Montana 2 (Disney), with 40-45k apiece; with Keyshia Cole (Interscope), Taylor Swift (Big Machine) and Sara Barielles (Epic) all [projecting in the 30-35k neighborhood. Next week, get ready for the Grammy effect. (2/8a)

January and February are typically the lowest sales month for CDs.

However, with the Grammy awards, there will be a jump in sales for winners.
