As reported on Broadwayworld.com

More information is pending, but the current buzz being given by cast members of "Grease" is that ACE YOUNG has been hired to appear as Kenicke beginning on September 7, 2008.
If true, Ace and Taylor would be passing in the night . I doubt that Taylor would remain in "Grease " for an extended appearance with Ace coming on board.

Too much reality TV perhaps. Then again, the entire revival is based on the reality show concept.

It will be interesting finding out how accurate this information is.

Hmm-keeping an Idol on stage must mean that they think that with Taylor gone maybe Ace can keep the folks coming in. Maybe this also means Taylor won't be staying for sure. I know-speculation--but fun isn't it??

Yes...interesting and fun! There was a lot of star power in Season Five...Ace would bring in a young crowd. Taylor certainly added a spark to Broadway!

A 'Spark' san? Bringing in an extra $150,000 a week is more like a 'bon fire'! :clap
Yes~Season 5 had a 'hefty chunk' of talent for sure! ;wh

It will be interesting to see if there is as much media attention with Ace as was with Taylor. When Taylor started Grease there was a whole lotta attention brought to show (don't cha' know the Grease PTB loved that!) and it has been steady since with articles, interviews on the set, TV, etc.

I wonder if the media will treat Ace in the same way since he is not an AI winner (as a matter of fact not even top 5). Also I wonder if there will be an Ace banner.

Also, do you think Taylor might have called Ace up and said If you're interested in the Kennicke part coming up I'll put in a good word for you. Who knows, Ace might owe Taylor one. Which wouldn't surprise me in the least, I think Taylor has always looked out for his friends (i.e Limbo shadow tour)

If we put on our 'thinking caps' to reflect; just after Taylor's win & when he had finished 'DIMYP', you can hear Ace say; "I Love You Man!" He was so happy for Taylor :P Another genuinely 'nice guy'. :clap

Ace Young stint as Kenicki begins on September 9, 2008 , so Taylor and Ace will not be sharing the same stage. Good luck to Ace in his new pursuit !!!
